About this update

The Zoola Team continues on its journey to deliver you the most widely used Learning Analytics solution in the market. We are excited to share a couple highlights of the most recent enhancements that we have released:

Data Sources

From our analysis of your use of Data Sources we found a number of common use patterns and therefore have added a new Data Source - Your Zoola Starter Data Source. With this new Data Source, we have pulled in a number of common data points including user information, course & activity completions, grades, and time spent learning. Everything is based on enrolled users, so that you will see everyone regardless of their progress. This Data Source is currently available for Moodle and Totara customer (Totara 9 included).

Enhancements

• ENHANCEMENT: We added the ability to undo/redo applied filters on Dashboards (see below).
  
  
  
  
• ENHANCEMENT: We added a new Ad Hoc View Calculated Field function to Convert Time from Epoch/Unix time to a timestamp (previous option was a Data Source Calculated Field). This should make converting Moodle and Totara's unix time dates to calendar dates much quicker and easier.
  
  
  
  
  
• ENHANCEMENT: We set the default view for a new Ad Hoc View to Table (previous default was Crosstab) (see below)
  
  
  
  
• ENHANCEMENT: With the Zoola Reports block we added the ability to share Reports with Cohorts/Audiences (see below)

Bug Fixes

• • FIX: We fixed the bug that appeared when you attempt to filter for Reports that have been scheduled
  • FIX: We fixed an issue where manual and scheduled reports were providing different information associated with dates and timezones.

Compatibility

• • COMPATIBILITY: We added support for Totara 9 and Moodle 3.3
