Moving Folders

If you have Read permission on folders and resources, you can copy and cut them form one folder and paste them to another if you have Write permission on the destination folder. The server pastes all contents of the folder into the new location.

You can drag-and-drop the objects instead of using the Paste menu item. Move folders one at a time. You can move other resources in batches.

Relocated objects inherit permissions from the destination folder, losing the permissions in place before the move. To change permissions on an object, set the permissions explicitly.

To move folders and resources by cutting and pasting, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to Zoola™ as either an Administrator, or as a user with the following permissions:

    • Read permission on the folder or resource to move

    • Write permission on the destination folder

  2. Click View > Repository

  3. In the Folders panel, right-click the folder you wish to move and select Copy from the context-menu.

  4. Right-click the folder into which you would like to move the previous folder and select Paste from the context-menu.

  5. Right-click the original copied folder and select Cut from the context-menu.

All Copy/Cut/Paste options are also available as buttons along the top of the Repository.

You can also move resources to a new Repository folder. To create a new folder, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Folders panel of the Repository, identify the folder in which you would like to create a new folder.

  2. Right-click the folder and select Add Folder from the context-menu. The Add Folder window opens.

  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the new folder.

  4. In the Description field, enter a description for the new folder.

  5. To save your changes and add the new folder to the Repository, click the Add button.
