Ad Hoc View

A view of data that is based on a Domain, or Topic. An Ad Hoc view can be a table, chart, or crosstab and is the entry point to analysis operations such as slice and dice, drill down, and drill through. You can save an Ad Hoc view as a report in order to edit it in the interactive viewer, schedule it, or add it to a dashboard.

In previous versions of Zoola, a report created through the Ad Hoc Editor. Such reports could be added to dashboards and be scheduled, but when edited in Zoola Studio, lost their grouping and sorting. In the current version, the Ad Hoc Editor is used to explore views which in turn can be saved as reports. Such reports can be edited in Zoola Studio and Zoola without loss, and can be scheduled and added to dashboards.
