Ad Hoc Views

The Ad Hoc Editor is the interactive designer for creating and editing an Ad Hoc view to explore and analyze data from your Topic or Domain. Ad Hoc views can also be used to create content for reports. After you create an Ad Hoc view, you—and other users with the proper permissions—can run the report. You and the specified users can also further refine the displayed information and personalize the look of the report in the report viewer.

 

 

To open the Ad Hoc Editor, complete the following steps:
 

  1. Click Create > Ad Hoc View—this opens the Select Data wizard.

  2. Choose your data source from the list and click the Choose Data button to open the Choose Data page.

  3. Complete the Choose Data page requirements, then click the OK button to launch the Ad Hoc Editor.
