The Forum Domain is a curated selection of LMS data that enables you to create Reports on the forum participation records of your users. Relevant data in this Domain includes the specific forum names, posts, subjects, discussions, dates, and times of modification of posts byr by users in courses.

The Forum Domain is located in the Public folder in the Zoola™ Repository. To locate the Domain in either the Repository or the Data Chooser (when selecting a Domain to create an Ad Hoc View), navigate to Public > Moodle/Totara > Domains.

This Domain contains LMS data organized to report on the grade data forum posts of users in your courses. Grade Forum data consists of maximum, minimum, and final grades, as well as grade types, item types, and feedback notesthe name type, modified/created dates, subject, ID, and parent of posts, discussions, and forums. The available User , Course Completion, and Course information included in this Domain can be used to structure these records by information from the learner and course profile information. Using fields and measures from the four three sets included in this Domain, you can easily build out Reports and Views to capture and analyze enrollment records forum participation and discussion trends throughout your course offerings.4
 

The links along the right-hand side of this article will open the User Grades by Activity Table and the User Grades by Course Tablethe Detailed Forum Table View and the Forum Statistics Crosstab View, respectively. If you are logged in to Zoola™, these views will open in the Ad Hoc Editor. The left-hand View panel will display the contents of the Grades Forum Domain, organised organized into sets of items (as both fields and measures).

All included sets are comprised of selections from the tables listed in the Moodle/Totara table, located at the end of the right-hand column.


Specifically, the Grades Domain is comprised of the following sets:

  • Course: Items (fields and measures) in the Course set provide naming and categorization data for your LMS courses.

  • User: Items in the User set provide user identification information, such as user ID's, names, locations, and other LMS profile-related data.Course Completions

  • Forum Data: Items in the Course Completions set provide enrollment and completion data, such as course enrollment, start, and completion dates.Grades: Items in the Grades set provide specific grading data for users and courses, such as final grades and feedback notesthe Forum Data set provide identification information for forums, as well as specific post/discussion/forum details, such as the name, type, date, subject, and ID.
